The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud engineering and will employ modern DevOps practices to improve our development team’s productivity and system reliability.</p><br><p>Problem-solving is key to the ability to utilize creative and innovative thinking. Rather than include the same old boring job description, here is a list of tasks the prospective employee may be asked to accomplish and/or attributes the candidate should possess.</p><br><h3>Primary Responsibilities:</h3><br><ul><br><li>Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and SAM</li><br><li>Automate deployments and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions</li><br><li>Develop Python scripts for automation, monitoring, and system integrations</li><br><li>Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with development teams to streamline deployments</li><br><li>Implement automation frameworks for security, performance, and availability</li><br><li>Analyze infrastructure performance and suggest improvements</li><br><li>Collaborate with team members to improve engineering tools, policies, and procedures</li><br><li>Gather and aggregate logs and metrics into actionable insights</li><br></ul><br><h3><strong>Some Must-Haves:</strong></h3><br><ul><br><li>5+ years of professional cloud engineering or DevOps experience</li><br><li>Hands-on experience with Terraform, AWS, SAM, and GitHub Actions</li><br><li>Proficient in Python scripting</li><br><li>Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code and cloud architecture principles</li><br><li>Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation best practices</li><br></ul><br><h3><strong>Where We're Looking For It</strong></h3><br><ul><br><li>Schenectady, New York&nbsp;</li><br><li>100% Remote available for the right candidate</li><br></ul><br><h3><strong></strong></h3><br><h3>Compensation Package (Salary Transparency for US Based Employees):</h3><br><ul><br><li>Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000<br><ul><br><li>Salary is negotiable based on qualifications, certifications, and experience</li><br></ul><br></li><br><li>Free Health Insurance Option for all (Single, 2-Party, and Family)</li><br><li>401k Safe Harbor Plan</li><br><li>Profit Sharing Program</li><br><li>Generous PTO - Maternity / Paternity Leave</li><br><li>Side Hustle Opportunities</li><br><li>Certification Reimbursement and Bounty Programs</li><br></ul><br><h3><strong>Other Information</strong></h3><br><p>The work hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it.
