Lead, Logistics & Distributions

<p>Position Summary<br>The Logistics and distribution lead of the POS Supply chain is a strategic and data-driven role&nbsp;within the POS Channel responsible for managing the end-to-end (first, mid, and last mile)&nbsp;logistics and distribution of over four million POS terminals. This position ensures the&nbsp;efficient, timely, and cost-effective movement of terminals from international procurement&nbsp;through to final deployment across the Distribution Network and Moniepoint Service Center<br>(MSC) networks, while maintaining seamless deployment and owning the cost management&nbsp;for all distribution and logistics operations.</p> <p><br>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>❖ International Shipment Management:<br>➢ Oversee the shipment of POS terminals from China via third-party freight<br>forwarders.<br>➢ Enforce the standard sea shipping TAT of a maximum of 60 days.<br>➢ Actively track shipments and drive performance with forwarders to avoid air<br>shipping.</p> <p><br>❖ Procurement &amp; Cost Efficiency:<br>➢ Coordinate the formal bidding process for freight rates upon payment, liaising<br>with the Partnerships team to secure the best value.<br>➢ Select and manage relationships with local logistics partners</p> <p><br>❖ Domestic Distribution &amp; Network Management:<br>➢ Ensure seamless handover and distribution from the central warehouse to<br>the Distribution Network through aligned local logistics partners.<br>➢ Liaise with internal stakeholders and logistics partners to manage mid-mile<br>(hub drop-off) and last-mile distribution to Moniepoint Service Centres</p> <p><br>❖ Faulty Device Reverse Logistics:<br>➢ Ensure faulty devices are removed from the Distribution network and<br>returned to repair centers within 7 working days of reporting.<br>➢ Manage the redeployment of QA-approved, repaired terminals back into the<br>DNS network within 7 days of release from the Inventory Support Officer.</p> <p><br>❖ Team Leadership &amp; Operational Excellence:<br>➢ Lead the internal POS logistics team, setting clear goals for tracking and<br>driving TAT.<br>➢ Continuously improve processes for operational efficiency across the entire<br>supply chain.</p> <p><br>Minimum Requirements / Qualifications<br>➢ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business<br>Administration, or a related field.<br>➢ Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in logistics, distribution, or<br>supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a senior role.<br>➢ Proven experience in international freight management, Third-Party Logistics<br>management, and domestic last-mile distribution.<br>➢ Hands-on experience with reverse logistics<br>➢ Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.<br>➢ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making<br>abilities.<br>➢ Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.</p>
