About this role

Responsibilities:

  • Develop architectural concepts, designs, layouts, and detailed construction drawings.
  • Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, 3D models, renderings, and presentation materials
  • Interpret client requirements and translate them into practical, innovative, and functional design solutions.
  • Conduct site visits, surveys, and assessments to support project planning and design development.
  • Coordinate architectural designs with civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering requirements
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and relevant regulatory authorities.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, material selections, and contractor submissions.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved architectural designs and specifications.
  • Identify and resolve design, technical, and construction-related issues
  • Assist with project planning, cost estimates, specifications, and tender documentation
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, planning regulations, safety standards, and other statutory requirements.
  • Prepare project reports, technical documentation, and progress updates.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.
  • Stay updated on current architectural trends, construction materials, technologies, and sustainable design practices.
  • Provide technical and design support throughout the project lifecycle.


Requirements:

  • A minimum of an HND in architecture. A master's degree in architecture is an added advantage.
  • Proven relevant experience in architectural design and project execution.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Lumion, or similar architectural design software.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, building construction, and planning regulations.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
  • Strong creativity, visualization, and technical drawing skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project coordination skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Registration with ARCON and membership of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) is an added advantage.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
